Whether you are starting a first time fitness lifestyle, getting restarted,
are a fitness buff who needs outside assistance, an individual looking to
lose weight, or heal, an athlete looking to improve overall or specific
aspects of your performance, I make it my personal mission to help you
achieve your goals.
For over 30 years I've practiced fitness: Biking, hiking, weight lifting,
running, swimming, karate, boxing, yoga, meditation, climbing, skiing,
snowshoeing, backpacking, the Army. What's been learned? Anyone can
start from any level. Activity breeds fitness/fitness breeds health and
happiness. Add a Nationally recognized certificate for Personal Training
and years of nutrition learning and you come out with MISSIONpt!

First off, I take ample time to get to know YOU. During our appointments
(and an equal amount of prep time) you are my priority, receiving my full
attention. I begin and end on schedule and sessions are ½ hour to 1-hour in
length. I instruct you to safely perform exercise and to change your thinking
to a fitness lifestyle.
While I require you to work hard toward your goals, we first build a base of
fitness and increase our efforts from there. The NO PAIN, NO GAIN mantra
is not part of my philosophy. We increase your fitness smartly and efficiently
while doing no harm. Still, some soreness is good. You will be physically and
mentally tested.
I use a body/mind/spirit approach to fitness training tailored to you. YOU are
not just muscle and bone, but a holistic system. To reach your goals, and keep
you at the level of health and performance you desire, every part of you must be
considered.
Stability, balance, flexibility, resistance (strength) and aerobic training are
equal parts of my approach. I vary routines often to prevent boredom and
overtraining. I offer in-gym, in-your-home, and outside training. My fees are
competitive and I offer discounts for packages, etc..
Good nutrition is paramount to success and health. Maintaining proper caloric
and nutrient intake is essential to reaching all health and fitness goals. I offer
nutrition tips and pantry clean-outs.
I keep close track of all activity we do together. I direct you to keep a daily diary
of food type and caloric intake, as well as homework exercises, heart rates, and
duration.
Your mind is 60% of your fitness. It wields incredible strength which may work
against you, or be harnessed as an awesome source of power. Clearing your mind
of stress and clutter before your workout is vital to maximum gains. Focusing your
thoughts on positivity, success, and specific exercise performance is the way.
